Dr. E. Jan Chithalen

Dr. Chithalen grew up in the Hamilton area attending Ancaster High School. After graduating with honours in 1987, Dr. Chithalen attended McMaster University in Hamilton, and in 1990 received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology (Summa Cum Laude).

From there he went to Toronto to study in the field of Dentistry and is a 1994 graduate of University of Toronto, with the Degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. After graduation from U of T, Dr. Chithalen spent one year at the Hamilton General Hospital as a Dental Resident and in 1995 began working as an associate with his father, Dr. J.F. Chithalen at 118 Stinson Street. After his father's retirement in 1997, Dr. E.J. Chithalen took over the full time operation of the clinic on Stinson Street, and now offers appointments five days a week.

Dr. Chithalen is passionate about Dentistry in general making efforts to invest in the most up-to-date equipment, provide scientifically based procedures and utilize ‘tooth conservative’ techniques.

He is a member of The Royal College Dental Surgeons, The Ontario Dental Association, The Canadian Dental Association, The Hamilton Dental Academy and the Academy of Sports Dentistry (where he currently sits as a Board Member and Canadian Liaison)

Lori

Dental Assistant

I graduated from Dental Assisting College in 1997 and have been working with Dr. Chithalen since 2005.

Throughout the years in Dental, I have worked in various areas, gaining experience in patient care and reception skills.

While working with Dr. Chithalen, together we have attended seminars and have tried new products to keep up with new techniques so we can provide our patients with great dental care.

Our up to date dental equipment and knowledge, help us work in a superior and efficient manner. We care about our patient’s dental health and welcome new patients to our office.


Natalia

Treatment Coordinator

Natalia has been in the dental field both clinically and administratively for over 15 years. Certified as a level 2 dental assistant at Anderson College in 2019 and dental administrator from George Brown in 2007, she loves the opportunity to help the team in all aspects. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their oral care goals by making dentistry understandable and affordable.

When she is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, and furry family. She loves the outdoors, water sports, boating and travel.


Nicole

Office Manager/Hygiene Coordinator

Hi, I'm Nicole! My pronouns are she/her. I grew up in Hamilton before our family moved to the Niagara region. I was practically raised in dental offices- my first summer jobs were helping file charts! My goal is to make you as comfortable as I am. I graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA in Canadian Studies and hold an Ontario JHSC certification. My background is in high volume retail merchandising, asset protection, and people operations management.

Outside of the office I enjoy crafting, playing guitar, swimming, roller skating, and spending time with my cat, Mocha. You can often find me out with my sisters supporting the Ticats and the Canadian Women's soccer team!

My name is Holly. I began my dental career in 2008 as a dental assistant and later moved on to complete my diploma in dental hygiene from Southern Ontario Dental College in in 2014. My passion for teeth began when I was 3, and has grown to become a big part of my life. I’m dedicated to optimizing your oral health through quality dental care. I can’t wait to meet you and your smile!


Katarina

Dental Hygienist

Hi my name is Katarina and I began my career as a dental assistant in 2008 and later went on to complete my diploma in dental hygiene from Niagara College in 2012. I enjoy educating patients on their dental care so that they can achieve optimal oral health. I pride myself in staying up to date with the most current products, latest technology and in continuing education courses. I look forward to meeting you and hoping you leave my chair with a smile!
